This is my last week in Texas gang.. it’s been fun but hot and once I get back to New York I will hopefully be able to blog on a more consistent basis.
Let’s start this quick update with my favorite topic lately, my first 5k at Disney World during the Tower of Terror weekend! I have officially decided to wear something that is an homage to Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I ordered my green skirt from www.team-sparkle.com just today and I’ve been pinning a ton of Ariel inspired things over at my pinterest website. You can check it out over at http://pinterest.com/marcellinae/disney-fun/ and all other things that I pin while you’re there too!
Secondly, I just heard about the Expedition Everest Challenge that is happening in May of 2013. Let me just say I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to participate in this! A 5k in the Animal Kingdom at night!?! Plus an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt? What fun! I doubt I’ll be able to do it though so I’ll just have to wait until another year. If anyone has done this before please let me know how it was!
Lastly in today’s update… I was chatting with my sister today about Disney and she filled me in on something I hadn’t heard of before! Usually I am up to date on all my Disney info and rumors so I have no idea how this passed me by! Apparently out in California Disney has been flying a fire breathing dragon in the sky and trying to keep it top secret, as if a flying dragon could go by unnoticed. There has obviously been no word about what this is going to be used for but a lot of speculation is that these dragons might be going into the new Avatar Land in Animal Kingdom Park. Take a look at the pictures of the dragon here. What do you think? What on earth could this be about? Any ideas?
Thanks again for reading and please feel free to leave comments about any of the above topics or anything else you’d like to discuss!
I saw this on wdwmagic.com last month – the guess over there was that this is for avatarland at ak.
It will be interesting to hear more about this. Obviously Disney is not going to be REALLY flying guests in the air like that!
