This book is truly incredible. Marci Johnson does something that many people talking about divorce fatally forget: she takes back the power. Divorce literature is full of sentiments that take away from the spirit: regret, fault, and isolation. However, Marci Johnson truly drives home the most important lesson one could take away from any challenging moment, life is meant to be full of love, humor, and enough glitter to make the world shine. I think that this book is a must-read for anyone dealing with divorce, loss, or just inevitable challenges of life. Johnson takes the steps in reclaiming her life that too many are scared to undertake, and we could all learn a thing or two in living after her example. If I could take one lesson from both Marci and this book, it's this: Grief, loss, sadness, and pain dig a hole in us that can only be filled with joy, leaving us happier, healthier, stronger, and more fabulous in the end.
