Martini Mystery was the best treat I have had all year! I am a single dad raising three teenagers and a puppy. I bought this book and enjoyed every page. Because of my limited time I was able to spread the joy of reading this book over four days. When I was at work I would be excited to come home and read some more. I looked forward to "my time" every day just to read more. I enjoyed the book so much that when I finished I felt sad it was over. This book was FUN.... something I think I really wanted. I highly recommend this book! I am buying another book today for a Christmas present. The author is an absolute literary artist for creating this masterpiece of fun! I LOVED this book!!!!!

Holy hijinks! This is such a fun, witty and intelligent page turner! Noir and glamour, history and suspense are all rolled into one. I can't wait for more titles by this author! I loved the DaVinci code and this book takes that type of storytelling to a new, fantastic level. Love the well rounded characters and the way the author details the scene so that you feel as if you could smell the beignets with powder sugar wafting on the New Orleans' French Quarter breeze. It rattles along at breakneck speed with all the fizz and sparkle of a champagne cocktail and the excitement of a Second Line. Oh, to live like Marci's heroine in vintage gowns and vertiginous heels, living passionately and fighting crime. Pure escapism - and the cocktail recipes are pretty good too.
