Wild Dances and Gnome Beards

Well, another sweltering day in New Orleans with sick babies, but we made the most of it. Let’s see, highlights of our day included taping blankets on a box, sewing yarn on a sock and creating a puppet theater; wearing fairy wings and emptying out the refrigerator for a “picnic;” dancing foolishly and wildly around the living room (with kids so captivated they didn’t even participate at first, just watched me, stupefied, as I ran in circles whipping my head around while gyrating various body parts and whooping until I was nauseous); and my personal favorite, taping tiny bits of cotton to our chins to make gnome beards. Ah yes, another productive day in the life of a stay-at-home mom with a Harvard degree.

Marci Darling

I lie here on my pink puffy bed in my pink silky pajamas, or pink flannel depending on my mood (the only thing you can bank on is that there will be chocolate smeared somewhere on my attire), with my pink feathered pen, writing my most delicious daydreams. Funny? Sometimes. Scandalous? Hopefully. Inspiring? Perhaps. Full of love? Always. Welcome to my World.
