This morning Annabelle climbed on my bed where Henry was sleeping. She smiled at him and said “What a cutie pie!” in a little baby voice, and then she dropped to her knees, spread her hands, and broke into an Elvis impersonation.
My three year old daughter doing Elvis! If you had told me I would ever see this with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it!
Her voice deepened and she even did an Elvis accent, “Since my baby left! I found a new place to dwell! Down at the end of Lonely Street, oh heartbreak hotel, oh baby, oh I’m so lonely Baby, Oh I’m so lonely I’m so lonely I could die.”
She took liberties with the exact lyrics, but her impersonation was nothing less than brilliant. She even added in the swiveling hips.
See, why go to Vegas to see impersonators when Vegas comes to me in the form of a toddler who has learned to do Elvis?
