Ahhh, Nothin like that New Baby Smell…

There’s nothing like the smell of a new baby. I have many photos of my newborns with my parents noses buried in their newborn hair. Nearly every person who held my newborn babies immediately bent and inhaled deeply, smiling blissfully afterwards. It’s calming to hold a newborn in your arms–you are forced to slow down, to talk softer, to walk slower. Add in the smell, and well, it seems holding babies is a sensory feast! I enjoyed reading this article by new father, Douglas Quenqua, on the NY Times blog about new baby smell…

Marci Darling

I lie here on my pink puffy bed in my pink silky pajamas, or pink flannel depending on my mood (the only thing you can bank on is that there will be chocolate smeared somewhere on my attire), with my pink feathered pen, writing my most delicious daydreams. Funny? Sometimes. Scandalous? Hopefully. Inspiring? Perhaps. Full of love? Always. Welcome to my World.
