Cameron Silver: Glamour Guy Proust Questionnaire

Cameron Silver, icon of the fashion industry, is a delectable delight for Glamour Girls who love personal style with panache.

Owner of vintage couture boutique, Decades, Fashion Director of H by Halston, author of a bestselling fashion history book, and a highly-sought-after fashion historian and creative consultant, Cameron has been leading the charge in bringing whimsical glamour back to clothing. If you don’t already own his book: Decades: A Century of Fashion-– buy it! It’s fabulous!

Named one of Time Magazine’s “25 Most Influential Names and Faces in Fashion” in 2002, Cameron’s stunning personal style, as well as his styling of movie stars and celebrities on the red carpet has landed him front-and-center in the fashion world.

I have had the good fortune to know Cameron since we were 18 years old and living in Beverly Hills. Cameron lived in his parent’s guest house, I rented a room in a charming garden cottage while working at 3 different stores on Rodeo Drive: Polo Ralph Lauren, Benetton, and Express. I also worked in Cameron’s father’s law office as his assistant when I was saving money to go to school in Paris. We were brought together by one of my all-time favorite people in the universe, Matt Waite, a style-icon himself.

Cameron always had amazing style, and he is an amazing singer too. One of my favorite memories is watching his cabaret act under the stars in Topanga Canyon. His voice is like velvet, and his style… well let’s just say there’s nothing like it.

Marci Darling

I lie here on my pink puffy bed in my pink silky pajamas, or pink flannel depending on my mood (the only thing you can bank on is that there will be chocolate smeared somewhere on my attire), with my pink feathered pen, writing my most delicious daydreams. Funny? Sometimes. Scandalous? Hopefully. Inspiring? Perhaps. Full of love? Always. Welcome to my World.
