Agatha Christie the Dashing Divorcee!

I love mysteries, which is why I decided to start writing them, inspired by the amazing Agatha Christie. I adore Ms. Christie, and have entire shelves in my library devoted to her novels. But until I read the fantastic Marie Benedict’s “The Mystery of Mrs. Christie,” I did now know she was a divorcee too! So without further adieu…

Next up in my Dashing Divorcee series…Agatha Christie!

One of the bestselling authors of all time, outsold only by Shakespeare, Ms. Christie is an icon in the author world, shattering records and creating some of the most memorable detectives and stories ever! I’m looking at you Orient Express and Death on the Nile! Her books are what compelled me to start writing my own mystery novels, and when I read Marie Benedict’s novel, The Mystery of Mrs. Christie, I learned Ms. Christie and I had other similarities. Like me, she was married to her scalliwag first husband for thirteen years and they split because of his cheating. Unlike me, When she learned of his infidelity, Ms. Christie mysteriously disappeared, and the police, Scotland Yard, and search parties were sent to look for her. She was discovered 11 days later in a hotel registered under the name of her scoundrel husbands’ mistress. She divorced him and stepped into her true power, her incredible writing career, traveling to an archaeological dig in Baghdad, and marrying a darling archaeologist who adored her.

Bravo to the women who stand back up after having their hearts broken and make their own magic!

Bravo to Agatha Christie for filling the world with her stories!

Viva la Dashing Divorcees!!

Marci Darling

I lie here on my pink puffy bed in my pink silky pajamas, or pink flannel depending on my mood (the only thing you can bank on is that there will be chocolate smeared somewhere on my attire), with my pink feathered pen, writing my most delicious daydreams. Funny? Sometimes. Scandalous? Hopefully. Inspiring? Perhaps. Full of love? Always. Welcome to my World.
